Private Jet Atlanta
View CategoriesGeorgia’s capital is one of the Southeast’s most active business corridors. The metro area spans multiple counties, and where you land matters as much as when you land. Four airports across the region serve the private jet Atlanta market, each positioned differently relative to where you actually need to be.
At Celebrity Jet Charter, we serve all of them. Our team, with years of experience, will match the right airport to your destination, your aircraft, and your schedule.
Private Jet Airports in Atlanta
DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (KPDK)
PDK sits 11 miles northeast of downtown in Chamblee. It is one of Georgia’s busiest general aviation facilities and the most frequently used entry point for operations in the metro area. Three FBOs operate on the field: Epps Aviation (independent, on the field since 1965), Signature Flight Support, and Atlantic Aviation, all available 24/7 with full passenger and crew services. Quick access to Buckhead, Midtown, and the northern suburbs.
Fulton County Airport / Charlie Brown Field (KFTY)
KFTY is 7 miles west of the central business district, making it the closest private aviation option to downtown. Hill Aircraft and Instrument Corporation and Signature Flight Support both operate here. Well-positioned for West Midtown, the financial district, and destinations south and west of the city center.
Cobb County International Airport / McCollum Field (KRYY)
KRYY is 21 miles northwest of downtown near Kennesaw. It suits clients based in the North Atlanta suburbs, including Marietta and Acworth. The field has a 6,305-foot runway, one full-service FBO, and on-site U.S. Customs for international arrivals.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KTAL)
If you are heading to a business meeting or private event close to downtown Atlanta, your best option is the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KTAL). The airport is located 10 miles south of the downtown area, and even though it’s busy with over 2,500 flights daily, you will get priority by using our Atlanta private jet charter.
What Brings Private Flyers to Atlanta
The city draws a wide range of private jet charter passengers, and the reasons vary considerably.
Corporate travel is significant. Atlanta is home to a dense concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major regional offices. Executive teams flying in for board meetings, site visits, or negotiations are among the most consistent users of our Atlanta private jet charter services.
Conference and convention groups fly in regularly for events at the Georgia World Congress Center, one of the largest convention facilities in the country. State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium draw groups for concerts, sporting events, and large-scale corporate functions throughout the year.
Sports travel is another consistent pattern. Fans and team staff follow NFL, NBA, and MLS seasons into the city, and major events at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, bring groups from across the East Coast. The flexibility of departure times is particularly valued here, since most people rarely want to stay the night after an event.
Leisure and seasonal travel rounds out the demand. The city serves as a hub for onward connections to Gulf Coast and Caribbean destinations, and many travelers position through here before continuing south.
Where People Fly From
Atlanta sits at a natural crossroads. The city connects the Southeast to the Northeast, the Gulf Coast, the Caribbean, and increasingly to international destinations directly. Most groups flying privately out of here are not just avoiding commercial airports. They are working around schedules that commercial aviation simply cannot accommodate.
Same-day returns to New York are common. A private jet from Atlanta to New York typically positions at Teterboro or Westchester, both significantly easier to move through than JFK or LaGuardia. The flight runs about 2 hours, which means a morning departure, a full day of meetings, and an evening return is a realistic option.
The private jet Atlanta to Miami route works differently. At roughly 1.5 hours on a light jet, it functions almost like a commute for some. Groups heading to Fort Lauderdale or Opa-locka Executive often prefer those options over Miami International entirely.
Weekend and leisure traffic tends to move toward the Gulf Coast, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Dallas and Washington, D.C., are consistent for corporate runs.
Aircraft for This Region
The right aircraft depends on group size, route length, and how the cabin needs to work for you.
For shorter Southeast hops with 2 to 4 passengers, our Phenom 300 is a frequent choice. The cabin is efficient, the range covers most regional routes without a stop, and the operating cost makes sense for a leg under an hour.
For groups of 6 to 8 on East Coast routes, our Hawker 800XP works well. Stand-up cabin, dedicated luggage hold, and enough range to handle New York or Washington without repositioning.
For longer international trips or larger groups where the flight itself needs to be functional, our Challenger 650 gives you a full cabin, a galley worth using, and an intercontinental range.
