The Citation XLS+ and its predecessors, Excel and XLS have been described as a “workhouse” for short-range charter operations since production started in 2000 with Excel. The first delivery of the new XLS+ was in 2008 and the entire Excel / XLS family of jets contains more than 575 aircraft in service. The XLS+ has a stand-up cabin and has the ability to land on short runways. The XLS+ is the first real makeover of the Excel / XLS in 2006.
