Citation V

The Cessna Citation V (Model 560) was introduced in the late 1980s, with the prototype flying in August 1987, FAA certification in December 1988, and deliveries starting in April 1989. In 1993, Cessna announced the upgraded Citation Ultra (still Model 560), which featured improved Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5D engines (higher thrust, better efficiency) and a full Honeywell Primus 1000 EFIS glass cockpit. Deliveries of the Ultra began in 1994 and continued until 1999.The Citation Encore (with PW535 engines, trailing-link landing gear, and other refinements) was announced in 1998, certified in 2000, and entered service shortly after. The Encore+ followed later with further upgrades (certified 2006, produced until around 2010–2011).
