The original version, Falcon 2000, was certified in 1994 with CFE738-1-1B turbofans. In 2003 it was re-engined with Prat & Whitney Canada PW308C turbofan engines and the model number changed to the 2000EX. In 2004 it was certified with an enhanced avionics system along with changes to the pressurization and oxygen systems and manufactured as the Falcon 2000EX EASy. In 2007 an updated model was certified with the model designation of Falcon 2000DX. In 2009 the addition of blended winglets in 2009 which increased its range capabilities of 4000NM and led to the current model manufactured as the Falcon 2000LX. It was originally developed from the Falcon 900 and over 310 have been produced.
